Plus-size people don't have a lot of options when it comes to pool floats. So, in this video, I review three Jasonwell brand pool floats to see if they will accommodate my larger body.
Overall First Impression
I paid less than $20 for each of these floats, so I’m not too surprised that the material seems thinner and cheaper than other pool floats I’ve purchased. The colors are fun and bright, and I think they’ll look great in the pool. More importantly, I think my friends and I will have a lot of fun with them!
1. Jasonwell Giant Inflatable Mermaid Tail Pool Party Lounge Raft
Inflating this raft was pretty difficult. It took me several attempts to get it unfolded so that it would inflate properly. That being said, it’s super cute and fits my body pretty well. I think this pool float would be good for small and medium fat folks, but may not be the best option for larger fats. It will be especially tight for folks with larger chests.
2. Jasonwell Giant Strawberry Pool Party Float 45 Inch Inflatable Pool Tube
This tube is definitely a tight fit. But It does float and I felt pretty comfortable in it. This float is probably best for smaller plus-size folks.
3. Jasonwell Giant Inflatable Flamingo Swimming Pool Lounge
Y’all, I wanted to like this one so much! It’s definitely the largest of the three tubes and left some room around my belly. That being said, this one is a major struggle! As I was floating around the neck valve pop open and completely deflated. At that point, I set it off to the side and then the body valve opened when I wasn’t even using it.
My final thoughts...
Overall, I think the jury is still out on these Jasonwell pool floats. They’re colorful and I’m sure my friends and I will take a ton of cute selfies in them. But, I’m not sure they’ll last the entire summer AND it seems like I’ll have to reinflate them from time to time. I purchased these floats from Amazon and you can get your own and browse the rest of the Jasonwell collection here.
